Nikon N70, Nikkor 85mm/f1.8D lens, Kodak Elite Chrome 100
This is probably my favorite picture from the entire trip. I saw the farmhouse on the little hill, and noticed the shadows moving along the ground. So I stopped, set up my camera, and waited for an appropriate combination of light and shadow. I was lucky to catch a moment in which a cloud was floating on top of the house while another cloud created a strong pattern of light and shadow on the dry earth beneath. One picture like this is ample reward, in my mind, for having dragged a tripod, an SLR camera body, spare batteries, 3 lenses, 6 filters, and 70 rolls of film for 7000 kilometers across Europe. |
